Catholic and proud of it

Incense burning, candles lit, chants sung, a congregation of people attending rites and ceremonies administered every mass. A common sight among catholics. A religion full of symbolisms, lavish ceremonies, and celebrations that are endless.

The catholics can be a truly devout-chained-locked type or a more contemporary type. Both are well accepted and practiced. Both are criticized and questioned. Both are Christians.

As years passed, many sects have been established which originated from the Catholic Church. Some denounces catholic teaching, some view them as 'demonic' and 'idolatry'. others just want to make money.

I for one is a devout catholic. I am not holy and a certified sinner. But this is where I find peace and harmony. This is where I find God.

I should not speak ill of other religions but I cannot tolerate as others speak ill of the church. Why can't we just accept the fact that all people have the right to choose their religion and be happy that they are fruitful in what they choose. I hate the fact that my own sister thinks that catholic is the wrong way (the demonic way). Let me say this to you and to the world. Catholics never speak and think ill of your beliefs then might as well respect on what we believe.

The Kingdom of God is here but not yet

A catholic preaching. It means that WE believe that the Kingdom of God is among us, we just don't realize it due to sin. Catholics act now not just on our repentance and ticket-to-heaven but also to the social and moral upbringing of the whole world. We should feel that God is always with us and we experience heaven here on earth.

My book collection

It was October of 2008 when I first started reading and collecting novels. At first it was about helping me have better sleep then eventually turned into something more. I learned to love reading novels. At first I just focus on a single genre-Fantasy fiction, however as I 'mature' on reading, I started venturing into others genres as well. Such genre include science fiction, epic, satire, inspirational, and many more. To date, I still fancy reading and collecting books.

They say that through reading, people travels. I agree to that notion. As I read stuff, I imagine myself being in the book. I see myself as a part of what I read. I learned stuff that experience itself may forgot to teach me. I learned to imagine, to visualize.

I consider my books as my trusted friends. They never fail to amuse me, they never fail to give advise. Though I cannot talk to them, they can talk to me. Not through spoken words but through written ones. They keep me company and they teach me how to be a better me.

People should realize how helpful books to us. They are not just luxury to people but a need to the mind. Books inspire, teach, guide, advise, what else?... I don't know, possibly anything. Books are silent friends waiting for us to approach them.
